I am a Student Hub Coordinator at the University of Southampton in England. Previously, I have been Executive Assistant to the CEO of CAST, Inc.; coordinator for the Middle East Security Project, part of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School; Academic Director for Study Abroad at the Center for International Learning in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman; and instructor of Arab history at the American University in Cairo.
I have an MA in Theological and Religious Studies from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.; an MA in Arabic Studies from the American University in Cairo in Cairo, Egypt; and a BA in Classics (Latin), Linguistics, and Near Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. I am a Fulbright alumna.
I am interested in Islam in the Indian Ocean littoral, medieval Islamic theology, and contemporary Middle East political and security issues. I live in Southampton, England.
